World Cup 2010 is only 1 month away. Yes, 1 month. I don't know about you, but I am absolutely stoked about this. Africa is finally hosting a World Cup in a country known for some World Cup heroics. Think Rugby. Anywho, as the US and England draw near to their Group C clash, I have created bets on almost anything you would want to bet on so far. Please go look and bet. It's a good way to talk trash to other people, and a good place to explore the community section of the forum. All bets are located in the Sports Section for the World Cup. Ok, so this is a rather short article, but I just wanted to get some more people betting, and we all know just about everyone in the freakin world is excited for that 1 month of action. I'm American and I'm excited (yeah, who knew, and American excited by soccer/football).

I am speaking to you as a caring member of the Global Conflict (http://www.sepica.com). I have been playing the fine games of this site for around two years, and there are seasoned vets who have be here for 5+ years. I noticed that on the CW home page today a member of the Dope Wars Online (http://www.treadon.us) game made a post today promoting the game. I feel that Global Conflict deserves the same attention because there is a reason people have hung around so long. Unfortunately our numbers have dwindled to alarming levels, and the game does not have the same fire as it once had.

I really don’t believe I need to go into too much detail in “selling” this game to those of you who have never tried. I understand the premise of Dope Wars may be a little too radical for those of you with children who may want to participate. The following games are included on www.sepica.com: Free Markets (game devoted to selling producing and selling raw materials, consumer market goods, housing developments, and private banks), 5-Team War (like the name suggests it is a 5-Team “Risk/Axis and Allies-like” game of world domination where you control a fighting force within a much larger army of your peers), WW2, Empires, Treasure Island, Capture the Capital (WW2->CTC have similar concept with some key differences in game play), and Nation Runner (You are president, prime minister, dictator, potentate, ect… of a nation and control all aspects of its day-to-day operations. The descriptions provided are very vague, but it does not take long to access www.sepica.com and take a closer look.

I will not lie that you do have to deal with some flaming from time to time (this is the internet after all). Every site has their trolls, but don’t let anyone scare you away. The vast majority of players are more than happy to help, and know that their game is in jeopardy of dying. These games are highly strategic, highly addictive, and they don’t consume your life (main reason I have learned to love the site so much; I can literally spend 15 minutes here and 15 minutes there while still staying on top of everything. I personally play Free Markets more than any other game, and have participated/served as CEO for numerous successful companies. I have renewed my premium account for the sole purpose of starting a company devoted to teaching interested new people. I understand when first trying games with the amount of social interaction such as this there tends to be some apprehension. This becomes a major issue when there are people out there who take the performance of their company very seriously. I am giving you the chance to try this game without anyone calling you a noob, telling you to die, or insulting your family. I will post a generic “how to” guide on my companies team page, and will make myself available to answer any questions needed. I am not along in this fight though, and admittedly I am not the most knowledgeable player in other games. Hey Guys

Allow me to introduce myself. I'm a DopeWars player and recently I started a thread about how I think its important that people from other games under the ClipWire company come and give DopeWars a try. To that extent, I even offered to personally help train any and all newcomers that were interested and so far I've received some mild interest from the community with only a handful of players from Nitrous Racing taking any real initiative. While these results were encouraging (because it showed that there is potential for people to get involved) they were far from being satisfactory. As a result, I have now decided to publicise this on a much larger scale and hopefully increase the influx of people tenfold!

So why am I so interested in rallying people for the cause of DopeWars? Well I love the game for a start and I think that the only way the game will do well or return to its "glory days" is if competition is increased. To me, this means the addition of new players. Now I've mentioned this before and I'll mention it again - it is completely irrelevant who you chose to play for/with, who you decide you'd like to be your mentor or even if you go out on your own and explore the game dynamics from scratch........just get involved!

Honestly, it is the web's dopest game! And who wouldn't want to be the biggest, most powerful drug dealer in a city without even having to leave their own home?
